September Meeting

Don't forget about the September meeting, to be held at the usual time and place on Wednesday, September 27, at Arthur D. Little, 25 Acorn Park in Cambridge. The meeting starts at 7:00 P.M., and the presentation starts at 7:30 P.M.

The speaker is Nathan O. Sokal of Design Automation, Inc. His subject is "Consultants: How to Make Sure You Get Paid."

Also remember the pre-meeting dinner at 5:30 P.M. The location is Bertucci's at the Alewife T station. For information on the dinner or the meeting, please write cn.boston@ieee.org .

September Volunteers Meeting

The members of CNET's executive committee--usually called simply the volunteers--need your help. Do what you can to keep the organization active on your behalf. Many small tasks need to be accomplished, and you can contribute. Even if you can't make it to the meeting, contact members of the committee to tell them what you think about CNET's direction. For example, the committee launched a new direct-mail marketing effort last spring, using postcards and the website. Comment on this initiative, or even better, work toward the effectiveness of all CNET's marketing initiatives.
