First of all, thanks to all of you who responded to the last
mailing of CNET News. One or two issues were hung up in CNET's
mail server for a few weeks, so when they were distributed they
had outdated material in them. I appreciate the feedback from
those of you who noticed the problem. It's good to know that
people are reading the newsletter. Write often, especially with
ideas and announcements that you'd like to see published here.
A second round of thanks goes to all of you who volunteered to
help keep CNET going next year. We have an opportunity during the
upcoming year to do good things with the organization. Thanks to
all of you for your participation! We can look forward to working
with each other.
Upcoming Meetings
The next general meeting of the membership is Wednesday, May 23,
at Arthur D. Little in Lexington at 7:00 P.M. Details about the
program for the evening will follow in a separate mailing. An
important item of business at the May meeting is the election of
officers for the 2001-2002 year. The table below lists the people
who have expressed a willingness to stand for election. If anyone
wants to volunteer for an office between now and May 23, please
let me know. The two offices that remain unfilled are Secretary
and Newsletter Editor (my name can be removed from those slots as
easily as it was put in).

Notes: Two offices are still open: Secretary and Newsletter
Editor. Steve can take the minutes at volunteers meetings in the
interim. Until the position of editor is filled, the paper
version of the newsletter will go unpublished. The electronic
version of CNET News will continue to come out from time to time.
The June volunteers meeting takes place at the Yangtze River
restaurant in Lexington. The date is Monday, June 4, and the time
is 7:00 P.M. The Yangtze River restaurant faces the side of Depot
Square in downtown Lexington. Depot Square is a small patch of
green that abuts Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington. The
restaurant is on the same side of Mass Ave as Depot Square, but a
little closer to Lexington Green than the Carolinas / Stone Soup
/ bel-Canto restaurant, where we used to meet. Another reference
point is the Peking Garden restaurant, where the volunteers have
met more recently. The Yangtze River is across Mass Ave from the
Peking Garden.

Advertisements in CNET News are free to members. Place a blurb,
your electronic business card, a brief bio, an announcement about
your business, or anything else you'd like to write to give your
practice some visibility. An ad not only supports your business,
it also supports the network's efforts to increase the number of
